The North Face Low-Fi Hi-Tek Collection
Based on the brand’s outerwear archives, the Low-Fi Hi-Tek capsule commemorates and pays homage to the early designs driven by American architect Buckminster Fuller and adopted by The North Face in the 1970s. It was a time of optimism when technology and design could provide solutions to the world’s problems and improve people's lives. The color palette in the collection combines neutral earth tones with striking colors inspired by the Oval InTENTion (the first geodesic tent in history), which appeared in The North Face catalog in 1975. The ‘Low-Fi Hi-Tek’ collection includes prominent pieces such as the Mountain Jacket 86 and the Nuptse Jacket 92.
